The Pakistani fans were not allowed to chant national slogans in favour of their team during the 18th match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, India on Friday.
The fan was stopped from chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” by the Indian policeman who was deployed at the stands.

Details revealed that the City Police Commissioner, B Dayanand, gave special instructions to his officers as the city had seen some Pro-Palestine marches in the last few days.
"It is a word from the higher authorities that fans should not be allowed to engage in provocative acts. So, we are following it," the cop who stopped the fan from saying “Pakistan Zindabad” said.
According to further details, the policemen at the stadium adopted strict controlling measures to keep everything in line and to avoid disruptions during the match between Pakistan and Australia.
"We were instructed to check placards and banners of fans before they enter the stadium, so that there will not be any untoward incident,” said on official manning the stadium security on condition of anonymity.
Furthermore, the police also asked the fans to not wear or use black dress to record their protest, though they did not bar anyone from wearing clothes of that particular colour while entering the stands.
Pakistani bowlers — except Shaheen, Mohammad Nawaz and Iftikhar Ahmed — were taken to the cleaners by Australia’s opening duo of David Warner and Mitchell Marsh.
Australia were on their way to scoring 400 runs but Pakistan’s world-class effort at the death restricted the five-time World Champions under 370 and gave his batting side hope to chase down the target.
Warner and Marsh formed a 259-run stand and created history as that was Australia’s highest-ever opening stand in World Cup cricket. It was also the first time Pakistan conceded more than a 200-run partnership in World Cup cricket.
The opening stand was also Australia's second-highest for any wicket ever and the second-highest by any team ever.
